About Me

My name is Pam Isbell and I am currently a student  in the Master’s Reading Program at ASU. I teach pre-k at Salem Elementary in Burke County.  This is my third year of  teaching Pre-K and in the teaching profession.  I really enjoy working with my students.  During this time in their lives the students really enjoy learning.  They are eager to learn new concepts and they allow me the opportunity to read to them throughout the day.  I can always tell that they have enjoyed the story because they always say, “Can we read that again?”

I will let you in on some of my personal life:

I am married and have two beautiful girls ages seven and ten.  They really keep me on my toes!!!  I have a wonderful and supportive husband.  We have been married twelve years.  He has supported me through an associates degree, bachelors degree, and now through my masters. I am also a co-leader of a Girl Scout Troop.  In the troop, their are 12 girls ages 10-12.  I really enjoy the girls but it also allows me the chance to spend time with my oldest child.

  1. Pam,
I was just checking out some blogs in 5130 and pulled yours up and thought I would reply. I also have 2 girls but much older. Unlike you I have supported myself through my BA and now my masters. I am recently remarried but my husband knows little about how difficult and stressful teaching can be. He is a dumptruck driver but tries to listen and understand some of my difficulties during a challenging day. How’s your invite going?
